The experience of over thirty years of simultaneous learning and teaching, along with events beyond personal choice and control, has shaped this collection. These works have taken form around the expression of color, uncertainty, and the passage of time—a space where every
splash of color represents an inner state of mind and every grey blotch transforms the surrounding world into
a sensory and visual experience.
On the other hand, being with a child born of love has bestowed a distinct individuality upon me as an artist, as well as a different hue upon my life and paintings. The intertwining of forms and figures within this colorful palette became a unique idiom for experiencing the world
 of Down syndrome—a world that may well be truer and purer than our own.
