«Bon Appétit» is a polite invitation, yet beneath this gentle tone lies a sharp question: what are we consuming, and what is consuming us?
This exhibition brings together works that challenge the boundary between nourishment and desire, between eating and being consumed. Here, food is merely a pretext to speak of the body, of repressed desires, and of those social rituals that reproduce power structures in the name of culture, etiquette, and tradition. Each work is a piece of a larger table—a spread spanning from flavor to experience, from satiety to hunger.«Bon Appétit» asks the audience to open their mouths not just to eat, but to see, to listen, and to question.
