cage so they could see themselves and not feel lonely; so they
could sing and survive.”
Like a Canary is my story. It could be a universal narrative,
however, of staying away, falling apart, wanting and failing,
being unheard or not seen, and taking refuge in yourself_
even in the mirror, and craving life with all its joys and
pains.
