Kioumars Harpa began painting at the age of 15 and entered the painting program at the University of Art in Tehran at the age of 26. During his studies, he worked under the guidance of prominent masters such as Javad Hamidi, Mohammad Ebrahim Jafari, Farshid Maleki, Mehdi Hosseini, Bahman Boroujeni, and Iraj Zand
From 1992 to 2016, he taught at various universities across the country and nurtured many significant artists
Although he held a few exhibitions in earlier years, he spent a long time painting in self-imposed isolation, distancing himself from galleries. Since 2018, he has returned to the art scene and showcased his unique style and approach. Kioumars Harpa has held several solo exhibitions that have received a warm reception from audiences. He has also participated in over 50 group exhibitions, both domestic and international
His works have been featured in several editions of Tehran Auctions, and some of his pieces are held in the collections of esteemed collectors
